CEO Ms. Qiu Leads Delegation to KL, Sign Three-Year High-Tech Green house Project Deal

The Green house signing ceremony, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, was attended by key officials including Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, Malaysia’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries, and representatives from both parties. During the ceremony, Ms. Qiu , CEO of Shine Tech Greenhouse emphasized the Agriculture Greenhouse project’s alignment with Malaysia’s National Agro-Food Policy 2021-2030, which prioritizes enhancing food security and adopting smart farming technologies.
Under the terms of the Agriculture Greenhouse agreement, Shine Tech Greenhouse will invest RM50 million (approximately USD11 million) to Green house design, Green house construction, and operate a 10-hectare high-tech green house complex in Selangor, Malaysia. The Green house facility will integrate advanced technologies such as climate control systems, hydroponic cultivation, and AI-driven crop monitoring to produce high-value vegetables and herbs year-round, regardless of seasonal variations.
“Malaysia’s favorable climate and growing demand for high-quality, pesticide-free produce make it an ideal partner for our greenhouse technology,” Ms. Qiu stated in her speech. “This Green house project is not just about building infrastructure – it’s about transferring expertise, training local farmers, and creating a sustainable agricultural ecosystem that boosts yields while reducing environmental impact. We aim to achieve a 30% increase in local vegetable production within the first two years of operation.”
Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu expressed his enthusiasm for the Agriculture Greenhouse collaboration, noting that the green house project will address Malaysia’s reliance on imported vegetables and create over 200 job opportunities in the agricultural sector. “We are thrilled to partner with Shine Tech Greenhouse Company, whose track record in sustainable green house farming speaks for itself,” he said.
The three-year green house project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase of the greenhouse complex scheduled to commence operations in Q2 2024. Shine Tech Greenhouse Company will also establish a training center adjacent to the Agriculture Greenhouse facility to provide technical workshops for local farmers and agricultural students, focusing on modern green house management and sustainable farming practices.
Ms. Qiu’s visit to Kuala Lumpur also included a tour of AgriMal Sdn Bhd’s existing agricultural facilities and a roundtable discussion with Malaysian agribusiness leaders to explore further cooperation opportunities in areas such as precision agriculture and post-harvest technology.
