A film multi span greenhouse is a large-scale agricultural structure consisting of multiple adjacent greenhouse spans connected by shared sidewalls, all covered with polyethylene  film as the primary roofing and sidewall material. This design combines the cost-effectiveness of film greenhouse with the scalability of multi-span layouts, making it ideal for commercial crop production, nurseries, and horticultural operations requiring extensive growing space. Film multi-span greenhouses are widely used in regions with moderate climates, offering flexibility in temperature control, light management, and crop diversification.

1. Structural Framework of Multi span greenhouse

• Each span of Multi span greenhouse typically ranges from 6–12 meters (20–40 feet) in width, with the total length customizable (e.g., 30–100+ meters).

• Columns and trusses are spaced 3–4 meters apart to support the roof and film.

• Material: Galvanized steel or aluminum alloy frames for corrosion resistance and structural stability. 

• Foundation: Concrete footings or anchored steel posts to withstand wind (up to 80 km/h) and snow loads (0.3–0.5 kPa).  

2. Covering Material – Polyethylene (PE) Film

• UV-Stabilized Film: Resists degradation from sunlight, lasting 3–5 years (common in commercial setups). 

• Anti-Drip Film: Coated to prevent condensation droplets, reducing fungal diseases and improving light transmission. 

• Double-Layer Film: Inflated with air between layers for enhanced insulation (R-value ~1.5–2.0), cutting heating costs by 20–30%.
